BOMBS [1]

Last December we reported [2] about the announcement of the The Best Of Malagasy Blogs (BOMBS) [3] contest. On December 31st the nomination closed and on the 3rd of January, 2010 the jury started selecting the best blogs in 5 categories from the nominated blogs. The votes were also opened for the sixth category of blog – the public choice.

On February 1st, 2010 the BOMBS 2009 awards were announced. We have the pleasure to inform you that several bloggers from Foko [4], the Rising Voices grantee in Madagascar, won the awards.

On another news Jaona, the coordinator for Fianarantsoa workshops has good news [18]:

We were supposed to start our workshops by the end of last year but we weren’t able to meet, and postponed it for January 22nd. We trained 10 new bloggers not only by familiarizing them to internet but also teached them to open an email account which was the first time for some of them.
