With the large number of proposals received from more than 90 countries around the world, the Rising Voices team has been carefully reviewing each of the submitted applications for the microgrants for citizen media outreach projects. We are pleased to announce that we have selected the finalists, who have already been contacted for the next and final round in the selection process. From these finalists, we will select the next class of grantees. We will announce the winners on the Rising Voices website soon.
We are unable to contact each applicant individually. If you applied and have not been contacted already, we are sorry to inform that your project did not make the final round. There were so many great ideas from many underrepresented communities around the world, but unfortunately our funds are limited and we cannot fund every project. We hope that you stay involved with Rising Voices, and if you do decide to implement your project, please let us know and we'd be happy to share your work with the rest of the community. Please keep an eye out for the next round of microgrant funding. You are always welcome to reapply.
