“Help Name the Rising Voices Newsletter” Contest
You might have noticed that over the past few months we've begun putting together bi-weekly posts summarizing the resources we find online and the stories we publish. We've been calling it the “Rising Voices Roundup” and we hope it's been helpful to you.
Now that we've tried it out (and we like it) – we need a name for this newsletter that better reflects Rising Voices and the creativity of our community! We are looking for something more fun and engaging.
In thinking about our focus on supporting community-led, group-driven projects, we'd like everyone's help in coming up with a new name.
So not only will we be crowdsourcing ideas, we're launching this as a contest with great prizes!
Contest Details:
We are looking for a name that will reflect the work that we do at Rising Voices. It should be short (1-2 words), creative, and fun!
Please add your name suggestions and ideas here before September 30th:
Click to Submit your Idea Here
In order to be considered for the prizes, you must register on the site to register your vote. You can submit an unlimited number of suggestions! In the event two people submit the same suggestion, we will count the one that was registered first. You can also vote and comment on others’ ideas (up to ten votes distributed however you like).
Contest Prizes:
A small committee of Rising Voices staff and contributors will choose from the winning suggestion from among the ideas posted.
The winner will win a package of two books by Global Voices co-founders:
-
Rewire: Digital Cosmopolitans in the Age of Connection by Ethan Zuckerman
-
Consent of the Networked: The Worldwide Struggle For Internet Freedom by Rebecca MacKinnon.
And five random participants will receive Global Voices stickers (remember you must be registered so that we can contact the winners).
