In the aftermath of the powerful earthquakes that struck Mexico in September 2017, the organization Redes por la Diversidad, Equidad y Sustentabilidad A.C. (REDES A.C) [1] saw the need to help community and indigenous media to better prepare and provide information and services during emergencies. As a result, they produced the resource “Emergency Communications: A Rapid Guide for Community Radios”. The guide was written by Erick Huerta Velázquez, Blanca Haidé Cruz Cárcamo and María Alvarez Malvido with illustrations by Natalia Ramírez.
