In the aftermath of the powerful earthquakes that struck Mexico in September 2017, the organization Redes por la Diversidad, Equidad y Sustentabilidad A.C. (REDES A.C) saw the need to help community and indigenous media to better prepare and provide information and services during emergencies. As a result, they produced the resource “Emergency Communications: A Rapid Guide for Community Radios”. The guide was written by Erick Huerta Velázquez, Blanca Haidé Cruz Cárcamo and María Alvarez Malvido with illustrations by Natalia Ramírez.
For more information about the public presentation of the guide, please read this post by Daniela Parra published on the #ComunicarEs website. A PDF of the guide in Spanish can be downloaded here and is available under a Creative Commons BY-NC-SA license.
