Hello readers, how are you doing? Hope this newsletter finds you all in a good place.
Now, please allow us to open this issue with some exciting news: Our own Activismo Lenguas [2] initiative recently received an award [3] from the International Mother Language Institute [4] in Bangladesh in recognition of its contribution to the protection and revitalization of indigenous languages! It’s certainly a great honor as well as validation to the collaborative efforts made by hundreds of indigenous language digital activists, along with their communities. Therefore, we’d like to say thank you to those who have joined us in this journey over the years.
Among all the important projects carried out by Activismo Lenguas, we’d like to highlight the ongoing @ActLenguas [5] social media campaign, where Indigenous language digital activists take turns sharing first-hand experiences with the world. Following its success, we have also rolled out this campaigning model to other regions including Africa [6], North America [7], and Asia [8]. Please drop by from time to time, follow us on social media, or even tell your friends about them — we’d be more than happy to see you there.

TRAININGS
The Indian Residential School History and Dialogue Centre [16] is inviting three aspiring indigenous podcasters (aged 18-30) to join them in a pilot series, where the youths will receive hands-on training on podcast production over an eight-month period, while meeting inspiring elders for intergenerational dialogue (details here [17]). Application due: April 2, 2021 Note: All levels of experience welcome.
