Stories about Languages from May, 2016
This is the first post from the project "Miskitus and Mayangnas on the Internet", grantee winner to support digital activism initiatives in indigenous languages. The project is being carried out in Nicaragua, and seeks to strengthen local languages with the active participation of young people.
"We must not make anyone feel marginalised because they have little or no understanding of the French language."
The initiative seeks to create pieces of radio art to make visible the Mapuche language, poetry and music. The Mapuche people living in the city of Buenos Aires will participate in this space which seeks to strengthen the political and cultural processes of these migrants who live far from their original territory.
