Storyweaver in Bikol

The StoryWeaver open-source platform is dedicated to providing children with access to high-quality books, such as these books in the Bikol (Central) language, which is spoken in Bicol region of the Philippines.

Since its inception in 2015, this platform has been on a mission to offer children's books in over 300 local languages. It accomplishes this by allowing users to freely read both online and offline, as well as download and print books in three different formats: PDF, A4 print-ready, and ePub. Additionally, StoryWeaver provides users with user-friendly tools and tutorials for the translation and the creation of new storybooks.

StoryWeaver's interface is designed to be accessible to readers using desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, making it suitable for areas with limited bandwidth. Furthermore, all content adheres to Unicode standards, ensuring maximum accessibility and interoperability.

All of the books available on StoryWeaver are released under a Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 license. This license encourages users to freely distribute, remix, modify, and even use the content for commercial purposes. The only requirement is that proper credit is given to the original creators, which includes StoryWeaver, the story's publisher, and the story's donor or funder.
