Indonesia: Strengthening disabled young people in media techniques

This project is designed to strengthen disabled young people in media technique by giving them training about the use and access of online media. The majority of disabled persons is often discriminated in the whole aspect in social life beside in getting education and training, so they don’t get access of information and ability to support their living. This training will be able to express about their life and their rights in social life.

Nepal: Voice of Senior Citizens

We started a monthly e-newsletter “Voice of Senior Citizens” in English in 2011 that shares information on status of 60+ population of Nepal with more than 3000 concerned organizations and individuals across the globe. In 2012 we started publication of three-monthly 50 page magazine “senior citizens” to inform Nepali readers about globally ongoing activities for senior citizens. We need support to continue these initiatives with improvements.

Sierra Leone: A Citizen Media Boot Camp for Kokofele

Sembehun Kokofele is a deprived community found in the southern part of Sierra Leone. This village is so deprived that technology and electricity so this project will introduce internet activities to promote them. this will be done in partnership with tutors from Silicon Pro in Freetown to teach the participants about the use the internet as well how to ensure that relevant programs to enhance their development is protrayed in all their events

Qatar: Nepali Migrant Workers in the Middle East

A million Nepalis work as housemaids, construction workers and goat herders in the Middle East. These men and women suffer physical and psychological torture and abuse. No mechanism exists to help the migrant workers. With this project, I want to train 100 Nepali migrant workers in the region so that they can share their stories in social media (facebook, twitter, blogs and radios) to generate momentum to force respective governments to act.

USA: Independent Global Citizen

Independent Global Citizen is a platform to tell positive stories about Africans helping Africans. I want to use social media as a storytelling tool to help those helping others.
