India: Training tribal Youth to share Ethnomedicine

The project will be a good initiative to support traditional Siddha and Ayurveda ethno medicine practitioners (called vaithiyars) to share the significance of several disease preventive herbal medicines and healthy life styles that was been formulated before 2500 years. It would be helpful to sustain the values of several herbs essential to cure particular diseases and encourage younger generation involve in using media tools to protect the field

Indonesia: Promoting Women rights through citizen journalism

Women and girls in Aceh with fundamental inequalities were intended and unintended casualties of conflict. Most of them were involved and caught in armed conflicts and face sexual violence and exploitation, torture, forced recruitment, rape, mass rape and trafficking. In post conflict, they are often denied to access justice and a role in decision – making, including peace. They are voiceless. We want to rise the voices through this program.

Kenya: Talent development and edutainment program

This project will promote use of local talent to address topical issues through youth trainings on how to use digital technology, social media, visual & performing arts to voice their views & opinions by use of photos, stories & short video documentaries. The project will create awareness on topical issues, promote skill & talent diversity, build the youth’s capacity as resource persons & ultimately create positive social change in the community.

India: Community Correspondents

HOPE Foundation work with nearly 15000 migrants and direct an HIV /AIDS education program. Peer Educators are an important stakeholder of this project. These Peer educators we propose to be transformed into Community Correspondents who will facilitate networking and information exchange with the peer. A Communication Hub will be developed managed by the Community Correspondent, functioning as a on line learning cum skill enhancement centre.

Women Volunteers are to be trained to take digital photos of different life saving skills followed by them and the people are to be educated to upgrade their skills according to the new era. Women are to be empowered on showing different skills which promote their economical standard of life. The marketing tie up and managing the industry with in the limit of earning are to be explained and to save a little money for their life survival.

We to share their own views or bring to light issues important to them and their own communities at local level through photography, writing and blogging.I aim to open up their world to give them hope that the world is bigger than the village. we will support them to do this.

Uganda: Source of the Nile One-story-a-day

Train 300 Source of the Nile bloggers in 25 partnering schools and 05 community libraries with computer labs how to create group blogs to share their voices widely. Work with the 10 indigenous Lusoga speakers in each school/library to use blogs and Twitter to connect with others as a way to preserve and promote Lusoga language online and cultural tourism of Busoga's Nile valley. Our target is to generate one local story a day from each trainee.

+254 GIFT is a project with and aim to Promote Share and Showcase Creativity, Cultural diversity, Talents and Gifts to the world and other communities in Kenya (+254). Through the social platforms Art/Dance, Stories, Poetry, Music, Nature walks will be recorded and photos taken to share to the world and Kenyan communities via a Blog, a Facebook page, Twitter Handle etc. This will be accomplished by training and mentoring youths on photo taking, video recording and writting blogs at workshops, camps, youth group meetings etc. At the end of it all Talents will be identified, natured and mostly share around the globe. Uganda: Marginalized Citizen's Media Project (MCM-P)

This project is intended to create a unified voice for persons with disabilities, women, Orphans and other marginalized community members in Ttula community. So through training of a community media, we hope to have a unified voice where these groups can sit and deliberate on the challenges they face and then draw out lasting solution for them. This trained media will act as an advocate for the target members in the targeted community.
