Youth representation and participation in decision-making processes remains a concerning matter in Albania. This leads to policy approaches that are out of touch with the views of young people and fail to adequately address their demands and aspirations. The project aims to bring young people of 16-21 age group in Durres city, to network and blog on issues such as youth policies, concrete actions that should be taken by Durres local organs.

What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
This project will enable youth make use of a public lab library in Durres that already has installed online facilities to create a blog and other social networking such as Facebook and twitter which youth already use for personal purposes to voice concerns of the public life and promote youth participation in policy drafting and decision taking process in Durres. Photographs, videos, stories will be shared in these social networks and blog site.
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?
Describe the connections that you or your organization have already established that will contribute to the success of the project.
The organisation has already established working cooperation with the public library in Durres that already has connections with public “Aleksander Moisiu” University and middle schools’ libraries. Furthermore, with the project's commencement our organisation will establish Memorandum of cooperation with Durres municipality and other educational and employment/vocational training local organs.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
There will a core group of 15-30 for each of 8 middle schools (general and vocational training schools) and 20-30 students from public Durres University that will be trained on how to use the digital technology and on issues of participatory democracy.
