Describe the specific community with whom you will be working.
We work with NGO´s,groups in urban and peri-urban areas (the most affected by the scarcity of social or natural water). Then the idea is to spread relationships whit others NGO´s and provinces with the goal to form a network of “local environmental journalists.” An example of the situation in these areas are: over 70% of the indigenous communities have no access to drinking water (Chaco).Sante Fe has several problems related with arsenic.
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
We want to organize all the information already gathered and add other voices of urban and rural areas. We will use Ushahidi or Crowdmap to map the route of access to drinking water, its landscape, health issues, food security, gender , monitoring the increasingly frequent consequences of drought or floods in affected areas. Use Training sessions to strengthen communication from the community to report and verify the information on the map.
