The project proposes to provide training opportunities to ready-made garment workers in the use of digital tools thereby raise their voices, open delivery of life history, stories, case studies, experiences sharing through mother language in Bangla. These underpaid garments workers majorities from women folk live in cluster of slums to be organized into citizen media to restore their legitimate rights to speak on own ideas, grievances to society

The targeted populations are the readymade garments workers especially women who have formal education experiencing improvised daily life under unwarranted workload.These foreign exchange earning community are the catalysts of development but no right to use online or scope to speak their basic human needs within the community they live.We would like to work for enhancing minimum physical quality of life thereby establish social justice
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
The major contents but not limiting to creation of life-story, work-diary, story film, wage alert, skill sharing, linking professionals and raising basic rights campaign. The vision of the Foundation is to raise their voices thereby building leadership for establishing basic rights of the lady workers. The intended media outputs are: Skype, face book, Blogs, Linkdn. Skill page, Twitter and interactive webpage
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?

We have established garments worker cluster towards promoting sanitation and menstrual hygiene interventions. The organization has its own training room and resource persons for providing coaching to the target beneficiaries. We just continue direct support the groups. The organization has some expertise; however, we plan to make partnership with the BASIS, a giant ICT solutions in Dhaka. They will be assigned for mentoring on technical matters
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
About 120 participants generally from women will be selected through baseline survey for providing orientation training and classified coaching on citizen media issues. The organization will ensure open online access and plan to make them adapt by absorbing their continuous interest on the subject. Light refreshment along with free access to computer output device for printing documents to be given. Rewards will be given to top 12 success users
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
The Rising Voices can provide technical support through its mid-term evaluation process. We are expecting an instant connectivity with the expert group members of the Rising Voices to keep a close eye. If admissible, we also expecting getting advanced citizen media input or materials in need. It would be great if Rising Voices could visit our organization during the implementation period which will encourage the indigenous community.
