Sex workers in BiH are an invisible neglected community and their lives are silenced.
Zenskaposla would like to listen to their challenges, hopes, needs, dreams.
We believe safe spaces and digital stories can help break the taboo. We believe citizens journalism need to empower individual voices to speak out, while protecting and allowing anonymity. We believe in the healing power of storytelling, and use of technology to access public space.
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
We intend to create up to 7 digital stories and one (1) collective video, done together and by sex workers in Bosnia Herzegovina. The digital story and the video will be presented and disseminated online/offline, supported by texts and data which will explain Bosnia Herzegovina context (law, health, …) and will be used to open a dialogue.

Describe the connections that you or your organization have already established that will contribute to the success of the project.
As a feminist platform and as individuals we belong to informal as well as formal networks. Even do we have not yet formalized any partnership, we are in contact with organizations and individuals that are working and/or are in contact with sex workers and which are interested and willing to support our efforts.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
We plan to involve/engage from 7 up to 10 sex worker, being aware of the stigma and the taboo around them our aim is to open up the space.
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
The fund is necessary to cover costs for attending the workshops and realizing the participatory video, apart from this we will be interested in getting in touch with sex workers led initiatives in other part of the world and learning from their experience about communication and advocacy.
