This project aims to train and empower 20 young Maroons of the city of New Airão. These young people will be trained in the use of digitial video and use the Internet network to keep the videos on the network. The terinamento will also discuss cultural and social characteristics of this ethnic group, aiming to support the creation of digital videos.

Describe the specific community with whom you will be working.
This project is referred to regate oral tradition and historical elements of the city of New Maroons Airão, Amazonas, Brazil. The Maroons New Airão, are descendants of former black slaves who occupied the upper river and river Jaú Paunini by 1900. Currently, the Maroons New Airão amount to approximately 200 families. Since 1980 some black families Maroons were forcibly displaced from their territories to the outskirts of the city of New Airão.
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
Materials created are referred to the history of black people. As the occupation of the river and Paunini Jau. Their stories, myths and ways of life are the cultural bases for creation of digital videos. Besides blogs, the videos will be available on social networks. In this regard will be trained further trims the use of social networks.
