This project consist of training 20 ex-convict as photographers to provide images about their lives and for other community events. To sale the images of the community and at the same time doing photography for profit to end a living as a way of rehabilitation and economic development.

This project will be carried out in Buea precisely Molyko.
Describe the specific community with whom you will be working.
We intend working with 20 ex-convicts who will follow-up the lives of other ex-prisoners and other vital societal issues for proper documentation. This group of persons are usually neglected in the society and are some times forced to go back in to crimes due to joblessness. We want to work with this group so as to give them a feasible livelihood as a way of discouraging them to go back to their formal lifestyle.
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
Our intention is to involve ex-convicts in to income generating activities for life improvement. our organization will train them on photography with the use of digital cameras and cell phones. However, an online blog will be created where these photographs will be uploaded to showcase their lives and other events in the communities.Tthis will also create job opportunities for them
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?

The FRP have a partnership with the Vision Pictures Africa (VIPA), Movement for Democracy, Development and Transparency (MDDT) and a member with the following networks; the South West Civil Society Organization Network (SWOCSON) and Dynamic Citoyene, in other to make sure this activity is successful. We intend to work in future partnership with the Association for the Promotion of Women and Children (APWAC)
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
20 ex-convicts will be trained to carry out self and vital community photography. Training them as community photographers will get them employed since photography will be taken as a job to earn a living and keep them busy too. Jobs on photography will be taken from the community to enable sustainability. some will be employed to train other interested person who wish to under go the same training.
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
Our organization will need material support from the Rising Voices such as 15 digital cameras to ensure the success of this project.
