The hands-on workshop provides a free workshop only for teenage girls so they can learn that technology is cool. The technology workshop will integrate fashion and DIY hardware ie. LED lighting, Andrino and other computer technologies. The attendees will learn first hand that technology is fun and has future job opportunities In addition the attendees will blog their experience on a WordPress site, Facebook page and a Youtube Channel

Our vision is to create teenage user friendly language, imaginary, graphics and video editing style which make the resources, video clips, audio recordings and blog postings appealing to the larger community. The Wordpress template will be hosting on a VPS hosting site to protect it from hacking and secure membership enrollment. All user submitted content will be monitored for content appropriateness to the community standards, ie language

How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
We expect to have 100 girls from 10 to 16 years old enrolled in the program. In the case of Girl Guides the organization issues a ‘Merit Badge” for participation which they earn upon completion of the course and fulfill the online obligations. In addition we will work the school boards and local library to coordinate the workshops the public sessions. We will seek donations for prizes for the top three projects
