This project aims to protect children. We will work with a school to instruct students on the best uses of ICT. They will use ICT for their security: to find information about VBG, best usage practices, and articles and texts on their rights as children – which they will then be able to comment on.

Describe the specific community with whom you will be working.
The students are in secondary school. They are not underrepresented but we want to teach them to use ICT more effectively. That is, how it can help them, prevent violence, educate, and teach them to use the internet.
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
For support, we will publish their accounts and group photo. Articles on national and international law will be commented on by children for children. To use SMS and social media to share these articles about law and the steps to take if they are faced with violence.
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?
Describe the connections that you or your organization have already established that will contribute to the success of the project.
We have executed several projects for the protection of children. All of these projects are always associated with schools and children. These were awareness campaigns and trainings on gender-based violence.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
We would like to work with 18 people. They will be chosen with a representative from one school which we will choose. We plan to include them in our 2013 action plan.
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
Primarily our experience is in the protection of children. Thus we are members of this network in Cote d'Ivoire. We can also rely on our local partners.
