Main goal of project is to raise interest of local community for involvement in common life through using of new technologies and to give opportunity for active participation in reporting about different parts of life. Focus will be at issues of independent culture and usage of public spaces. Activities: educational programs (active citizens, public participation); new technologies; e-democracy public debate and enhancements of internet site.

What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
At beginning of the project focus will be at issues about infrastructure, from independent and youth culture to public spaces.
Publishers will add textual and photo content, but together with other media projects in local community produced by our organization, other NGOs and local public medias we will make other multimedia content (video, podcasts, printed media – flyers, leaflets, magazines, posters).
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?
Describe the connections that you or your organization have already established that will contribute to the success of the project.
Domachi will continue cooperation with local high schools, youth centers, local media, activist groups (independent culture, youth, environmental), establish cooperation with local authorities.
This project will be connected with other media projects that we are producing (planetmagazin.net; radio program at local public FM radio station), and give information about national networks (Croatian Youth Network and independent culture-Clubture).
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
First workshops will be in high school for at least 20 students.
In project we will involve the existing media group of youth resource center, local journalists and media activists, members of local NGOs. Finally we will continue communication with local government to use our services to raise public communication / e-democracy. Project will be also connected with other media and advocacy projects initiated by our organization.
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
Rising Voices can support our project at few different levels such as:
– sharing information about Karlovac Media Activist and other media projects of our organization (planetmagazin.net ; nepokorenigrad.info, FM)
– helping to find or suggest international experts for future media projects with similar ideas
– participating in our public projects/events such as Unconquered Town – independent culture festival and touring segment of festival.
