Egypt is passing by a period where attack targeting media professionals that appears clearly to erase what their cameras filmed of crimes that the offender try to hide. For example, assassination of the journalist Husseini Abu-Deif and stealing his camera. Also killing a number of internet pages’ administrators as a result to the observe that new media has great impact in mobilizing public opinion and lobbying .

university students and graduates interested in media.
We are targeting young people, both working in media actually or not.
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
The project aims to create media cadres trained on transmitting news / events / information without being subject to risk .Also it aims to turning the ordinary citizen to a trained media cadre, so we are dealing with those interested in media domain.
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?

the project will be carried out in partnership with electronic journalists syndicate that can provide opportunities for advanced training in journalistic institutions .Also,can provide job opportunities for trainees .
we are implementing the project through networking with associations working in the governorates where the project will be implemented.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
150 persons will be rained (including 120 media professionals and 30 lawyers) 25 persons in each governorate. A legal unit will be formed to provide legal protection and defense for media professionals.As well, monitoring , documenting and reporting unit consisted of media professionals will be formed(4 from each governorate), while the remaining trainees will be prepared to train others to contribute in the creation of citizen media.
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
preparing computer laboratory for training consist of 6 computers to establish monitoring and documenting unit.in addition to 3 lap tops and data show system.
