Haiti: Global Potential's “Hispaniola Youth Rise” project

Haiti and the DR are facing times that are both challenging and full of potential. Hispaniola Youth Rise is a proposed project of Global Potential (GP) building on its current mission to empower youth and communities to energize each other through education, international service, cultural exchange, and the use of documentary and social media. This project aims specifically at unifying Haitian and Dominican youth through media capacity building.

Haiti: Quartier a Quartier Youth Leaders Network

The Quartier a Quartier (Neighborhood to Neighborhood) program aims to establish a network of youth-led organizations throughout Haiti, and provide them with training and practical toolkits in leadership, project management, social innovation and social media communication, so that they may run their organizations and activities more effectively, thereby strengthening their engagement in their communities, while also increasing their visibility.

Jamaica: Safe Kids Project

To heighten the awareness of the general population about the issue of child safety by utilizing social media, photography, poster creations, video presentations and docudramas. Ten (10) adults which will include teachers and parents and 60 children between the ages of 10 and 14 will be trained to use these tools to advocate for Child Safety.

Belize: Empowering Women & Girls in Entrepreneurship in Rural Belize

Create a theatrical performance in our native language, Garifuna on the issue of control over resources that creates differences in power between men and women in rural Belize, Central America. The performance would show the hardship and poverty of women & girls but then ultimately depict them rising from their condition into becoming entrepreneurs, making and selling their coconut oil/cream products online.
