Uganda: Training Extesion workers in Voice Recording and Editing farmers’ based practices

The project is aiming at bridging the information sharing gaps between farmers and extension workers in Nakaseke District. By empowering extension providers in farm radio recording and editing we will increase the levels of information sharing and interactions with the farmers. the Training will also enable extension officers to identify farmers needs and challenges and perhaps advise them and share local content online.

Uganda: Memories of Moments in Our Childhood Homes

This project will be of ICT approach target people beginning lives independent free from their childhood homes. People are willing to talk about their childhood experiences with their parents or caretakers. People recall most actions of their parents. This project aims at training its members to sound and record their memories of most moments at their childhood homes.

Uganda: Human Rights Web – Breaking the Silence

The project proposes an innovative training of human rights defenders in Uganda on standard citizen media techniques through citizen media training workshops, individual instructions, creation of networks, and constructive mentoring follow-up. The project’s ultimate goal is to create a vibrant network of defenders (Defenders Web) who use citizen media to share their local stories globally on a well synchronized online space to scale impact.

Uganda: Catherine Youth Environmental Media Project

Catherine Youth Environmental media project is meant to train the rural youth from Masaka District about social media networking. The participants shall come from various parts of Masaka District in Uganda. The participants will have opportunities to share their experiences and knowledge about environmental issues via social media. Blog competition among the trainee will encourage rural youth to use online platform.

Uganda: Community Education and Research Resource Centre

Adjumani district borders Gulu where the LRA War began. it borders South Sudan in the north. Many people were affected by the war and others especially young girls now practicing prostitution and smuggling at the border with South Sudan.The project would aware the wider community of life experiences of rebel returnees, the young prostitutes and smugglers through training them on storytelling using digital online technology.

Uganda: Peace through Communication (PC Project)

PC is a community youth project aimed at promoting a culture of responsible citizenship and non-violent communication in responding to the challenges affecting the young people in and out of school in Makindye peri-urban communities through community debate/dialogue and online sharing. The project will create an online community media group, train participants and establish a Peace-Comm Blog for online sharing and community dialogue.

Uganda: Open Air Communication from Peasant Communities

Uganda is experiencing human sacrifice practiced for rituals by traditional witchdoctors in addition to the rampant economic and social problems facing rural poor communities in Wakiso district. Children and women are most vulnerable targeted population for human sacrifice. The project is an online open air campaign against human sacrifice and all forms of corrupt tendencies which cause poverty in the rural communities.

Uganda: Using Smart Phones for Youth Agricultural Development

The projects will teach youth in agriculture on how to use smart phone technology and online social networks to increase their productivity in agriculture through knowledge sharing and learning about good farming practices with other youths in the same sector. All the information generated from the youth will be posted on an online social network platform for discussion. Trainings/workshops will be held to teach youth on how to use these media.

Uganda: Expririence Documentation for Victims of LRA

This project is intended to document experiences of the Victims in Northern Uganda conflict between Lords Resistance Army and Government of Uganda . this project will help to build a data base for various events such as massacre sites, mass graves and individuals victims of various human right abuse and violations ,the documentaries will be used for planning and advocacy for reparation and fundraising for the victims support / rehabilitation

Uganda: Raising the Voiceless Through IT/Media

The project entitled “Raising the voiceless through IT/Media” will tackle issues related to commercial sex exploitation affecting communities in Northern Ugandan, and it will target two Luo tribes that is; the Langi and the Acholi focusing mainly on children. The Langi and Acholi children in Northern Uganda.Groups of children will be trained from the local communities, and they will be trained to use IT/Media to share their stories.
