Coastal districts in India are very much prone to multiple disasters due to rapid changes in Climate. Poor and vulnerable communities are the primary victims for any Hazard related to Peace or Emergency time. This project will envisage the need of preparedness measures to combat the disaster situations and mitigating the rapid climate changes in peacetime. Local vulnerable communities will take up the responsibility to initiate key interventions.

Fisher folk community in coastal andhra pradesh is the vulnerable community being victimized time to time due to frequent disasters.Their economical condition is worsening year by year and the manifestations of economical crises are: Migration to other places,Professional shift, incidence of Child labor, changing the life style. CADME would like work with this community facing economical crises due to impending disasters time to time

Manifestations due to economical crises being faced by fishing community: Migration to other places for livelihood,incidence of Child labor and case studies,How the natural marine living resources are depleting and its impact on fishing community,Shrimp Culture and its effects on Fishing community and environment,Mangrove forest degradation and its impact,case studies on Broken families due to Migration,incidence of HIV/AIDS and disasters impact.

our organization has been working in this area for the past 2 decades and established community based organizations at village level like: Self help groups,Task force groups,Child clubs,Parent associations,Farmer clubs,Village committees on Child labor and extended services for their development. As we have been working with all these groups for considerable time,all the partners of the project will extend hundred percent cooperation.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
50 youth task force, 50 women leaders 10 Teachers 20 Farmers 50 Children from 10 villages.As we have already got good rapport with all the above mentioned participants and working with them for the past few years, this project will sustain as they are taking up the responsibility to design, implement, monitor and time to time cross checking the project. Since the problem is of the above mentioned,they will continue to raise their voices.
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
We need technical guidance from Raising voices to document the voices of our target community and IEC material on above mentioned issues and problems.
