InCHeS will train the local communities to document the Suba culture and language through audio- visual and photography. We plan to have interviews, cultural workshops, meetings, open days and other related sports, cultural stories, historical accounts. For example ‘Story of Nyamgondho Wuod Ombare’ about key places, events, figures, modern day social issues – fishing, agriculture, politics and cultural events such as music.

InCHES belongs to the newly formed Suba Community Development Forum (SCDF) as a founding member organization. InCHeS have an elaborate audio production and documentation equipments and skilled professionals in media. We have done a lot of documentations for reputable national and international organisations, thus established elaborate partnership. We are also working with media institutions and houses and cultural programs
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
We anticipate to train directly 800 participants from across Suba. 5000 will again benefit from rolled down trainings. They will be elected subtly to represent all sectors, ages, genres and institutions. We will also train indigenous organisations working in the area for sustainability, more, it will be ‘do it, own it’ sustainability strategy.
