To offer peer to peer training for in school adolescent girls. Girls listen more to fellow girls thank they listen to other people, the aim of this project is to mobilize and train girls as peer educations to train and mentor more girls on issued around reproductive health, sex and sexuality and girls leadership. This project will bring out girls who leaders mentoring others and making informed decisions on their lives.

What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
Stories will be around the myths and misconception on the chosen topics which will be told by girls. There will be real life stories and experiences by girls which will be put on facebook, twitter and blogs for others to learn from. Day today lives of these grassroot girls will be documented and shared as well. The challenges these girls face during their menses and back street abortion will be some of the stories to be postedd.

I attended digital workshop with Women Win where I learnt so much about digital story telling, I have been a peer educator with CARE Kenya working closely with adolescent girls. I still do peer outreaches in schools around me.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
i will first train 60 girls from 15 local primary and high schools. They will then be commissioned as GPEN ambassadors, equipped with digital cameras when they collect stories to share.
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
I do not have a laptop to make my work easy, I would like to request for a laptop for my work for Rising Voices
