What locality or neighborhood will your project focus on?
Dolneni Municipality
Describe the specific community with whom you will be working.
This municipality doesn't have any citizen media and no developed citizen activism. Population faces with extreme poverty and various problems including environmental, ethnological, cultural and educational problems. The project's aim will be to overcome prejudices of the population and to involve young people in the creation of new policies in the society with clear message that they can cooperate between and understand each other.
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
The most important thing about this project will be working atmosphere during creation of content. 4 multicultural groups will work on 4 different fields – 1. folk customs, history and tradition, 2. employment possibilities and entrepreneurship, 3. environmental stories and 4. everyday news. They will be presented as digital stories with elements of journalism on a independent blog attached to official municipality web page.
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?
Describe the connections that you or your organization have already established that will contribute to the success of the project.
There is existing partnership between NGO ŠADRVAN and NGO Greener – Association for green society. Both NGO-s have previous experience in multicultural projects and have members which are experts in areas important for this project. Local governance of Dolneny municipality is planned to become third partner. Local NGO-s and sport clubs will be invited, too.

20 young people (from Macedonian, Bosnian, Turkish, Roma and Albanian ethnic group) will be directly involved in educational workshops. They are interested to participate because there is no non formal education possibilities in this municipality and unemployment rate is very high (90% from people in age range 19-35 are unemployed). People with some digital knowledge will have advantage.
