The overall goal is to positively promote the Roma ethnic group through usage of media tools as well to start on-line and public discussion on stereotypes and prejudice towards Roma community in the country and ways of overcoming them. The objective is to train 10 young Roma community members on the techniques of using media tools in positive promotion of the community and to compose video through photo's of ordinary day of 5 Roma families.

Describe the specific community with whom you will be working.
The Roma population in Macedonia is represented with more than 50.000 citizen, of whom more than 85% live on the edge of poverty, and over 90% of the population is unemployed. The education level is still low, number of the population is illiterate. Those circumstances bring the Roma community in a not favorable position in comparison with the majority, which leads to creation of stereotipes, prejudice and discrimination.
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
The 10 Roma youngsters who will participate at the photo and video training will create photo and video material. Those materials will be published on FB page that will be created for the purpose of the action. Blog will be also created, where possibility for on-line discussion will be opened. Also, at one public discussion, the materials will be shared with the general population through promotion of the photos and video.
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?

Roma Resource Center (RRC) is based in Suto Orizari, the only Romani municipality in Europe, with 95% Roma population. Most of the Roma youth from the community who are graduated or university students are volunteers in the several local NGO's, including (RRC). The youth's also have their own form of organization through the youth club of Red Cross of Macedonia, with who RRC has already established cooperation on different initiatives.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
The direct beneficiaries of the project will be 10 young Roma community members who will attend the training's for photography and video. The project team will sign contract with each of the trainees for their fully engagement on the activities, as their role in the project is essential for the success of the initiative. The participant's will be chosen through public call for participants.
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
Rising Voices can besides with funding, can contribute to the success of the project including RRC in the network of organization's who have already worked on similar projects, through whom experience exchange can be made in order of better implementation. Also, the possibility of direct support in form of consultation's with the Rising Voices staff can be very essential for the implementation of activities.
