Workshops that will result in the production of 15 short films made by young people from the ethnic Hñähñu Mezquital Valley in Hidalgo (Mexico). A visual and creative experimentation that has as its theme the sexual and reproductive rights from the perspective of gender, providing tools for recording and editing video from a visual-anthropological methodology and the use of any camera. Describe the specific community with whom you will be working.
The Mezquital Valley is a region of the state of Hidalgo in Mexico and one of the poorest areas of the country. They speak the language Hñähñu. Specifically work on Capula community inhabited by people from various parts of the mountainous valley leading down to perform various marketing and service jobs, there exists a core group composed of young people aged 14 to 25 years coordinated by RED ddser that worked since 2005 to the issue of DSyR.
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
The sexual and reproductive rights and their link with the customs arraigas, unequal gender relations, access to health services, outreach programs and strategic precarious economic situation of the youth of the town. Fifteen short films through self, chronicles, video art and reportage express the various positions they have on their life plans and their sexuality. An expression of the need for dialogue and social transformation.

With support from the MacArthur Foundation conducted a campaign to promote sexual and reproductive rights of young people. RED SURE build the project that aims to produce, distribute, and show videos of rural and indigenous areas of the country specifically on gender issues. Our web portal will be an important vehicle for the dissemination of the project, which receives 35.000 daily visits, this information is taken up in 650/2 and portals worldw
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
Will be awarded a scholarship to the young participants to cover transportation costs, the project budget includes food. It will work with a group of 25 young people and the call will be made through the Red ddser who will be part of the activities for which they receive as an economic stimulus. It is intended to continue this audiovisual laboratory and it impacts through various dissemination strategies in and out to younger natives of the regio
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
We will create a model that can be replicated across laboratories performing various video documentary technological elements accessible and where young people can be carriers of techniques sufficient for interaction, exchange and production of transforming expressions for equality. This model aims to have future funding to be implemented in various communities around the country.
