10 youths from Kulung community will be trained to create blog and upload their stories online. Kulung community is deprived of enjoying their rights to self-identity and by the virtue of that excluded in development process and decision making process. This will explore Kulung language, culture, history, ancestral land and territories, myths and their life style and connection to global community that make Kulung peoples a pride as human being

Describe the specific community with whom you will be working.
Kulung community having more than 28613 population living in remote place of the districts – Solukhumbu, Sankhuwasabha, Bhojpur, Terhathum, Dhankuta, Ilam and rural areas of the districts – Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari. They belong to mostly below poverty line; under educated and under employment in civil service. They have long been ignored by the State and other mainstream civil society to recognize them as a distinct indigenous group.
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
The news of Kulung community's event, stories about their origin, ancestral land and territories and intangible heritages and their struggle for establishing collective rights of identity and meaningful participation and representation in development process and State operation mechanisms.
The matter of their birth, love, marriage, death and handicrafts, bio-diversities, natural resources management, rituals, traditional institutions etc.
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?

I and the Kulung community have already involved long time to establish the collective right of Kulung community being recognized as distinct indigenous peoples. A High Level Task Force formed by the Council of Ministers has recommended in its report 34 months ago that Kulung is an indigenous nationalities but yet to be approved by the government. Until achieving the result the partnership will be continued.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
10 participant will be trained. They will be selected from different 10 rural and remote places of the country i.e Solukhumbu, Sankhuwasabha, Bhojpur, Ilam, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Dhankuta, Kaski and Kathmandu.
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
Rising Voices can provide financial support to pay the expenses related to judicial procedure including the court fees, fees of highly qualified lawyers to plead for issuing order from Supreme Court to establish the collective rights of Kulung community that opens a gate for meaningful participation and accountable representation in decision making process for over all development and state operation mechanisms.
