Women, Youths, Children and disable persons in remote, hard to reach and marginalized communities Majority are voiceless, not aware of various means of communications ,and no networking among few who have an e-mail address or face book etc.
Working with this group is to give voice to voiceless and collective effort for projecting our community to global village especially as it relate to social issues affecting our daily living..
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
Our focus is on Health, Education, Culture , Democracy and Governance as it affect community life. Issues of Stigma and Discrimination of people living with HIV/AIDS/TB, disable, harmful traditional practices that drives the spread of HIV, issues of exam malpractices , Corruption and democratic activities , Female Genital Mutilation, gender based violence, development projects etc. The vision is to improve quality of life for the targeted

Development Integrity Intervention Goal is grassroots Community Base Organization will seek support and partnership with Umu Ada, Age Grade, Town Union, Traditional Institutions, Government Agencies and Ministries.
With the support of Raising Voice as it will appear in our letters many stakeholders will take the project serious including other community base organizations and networks which will result community support/ownership of Project.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
110 Participants will attend one day Orientation Workshop/ Open Community Meeting and potential target beneficiaries will be identified and selected among community members. In sustaining their participation, the community members will be involved in the selection process and Peer Education Model will be adopted to enhance multiplier effect. 28 Youths (Male and Female), 14 Women and 8 from CBOs will be selected and trained on social networking.
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
From time to time, technical support will be needed from Rising Voices. We shall also need to use Rising Voices Logo in all our activities and programs. Raising Voice can equally link us to other funding agencies in order to scale up the project.
Also if resources permit, it shall be our wish and desire for Raising Voice to visit this remote, hard to reach rocky and politically and developmentally marginalized community.
