A nature club will be formed in 5 schools. They will be trained for green photography and using computers in “SDO Resource Centre” for copying, sharing, printing photos. They will make plantation of 1000 plants in SWAT area (taking support from the forest department) and all this interesting activity will be digitally captured using mobile phone and digital cameras. Competion winner will have some reward in cash/trophy etc.

Describe the specific community with whom you will be working.
“Swat once called the paradise on earth”, and the “Switzerland of Pakistan” has gone through 5 years long severe stress. Talibanization and army operations damaged the green area, damaged livelihood, agriculture and education. More than 400 schools were destroyed. By this activity people attention will be diverted a bit and greenry increased, also interes of students/parents in learning will be enhanced. The use of computer and camera be enhanced
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
They will be trained to take photos and uploading to computers. Then what are the social medias popular where they can share their work ie. facebook, twitter and creating blogs on different sites. they will know to use search engines, to search more better and advance techniques of photography etc.

SDO-Pakistan is a national NGO having strong roots and base in Swat area. SDO has already implemented projects on livelhood and WASH and Education therefore having strong links with the communities and students. SDO has been working in these areas for the last more than 13 years and having strong relations with the communities.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
-SDO have strong relations with the communities and students
-The activity is directly related to the livelihood, forest and education
-the community requested for protection and plantation of their forest
-CBOs (reforestation & protection committees) have already been established
-The CBOs have been trained for their all types of mangement of CBO
-They have a good system of regular contribution per household
These all will ensure success
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
For the success of the project this microgrant will be sufficient the remaing support SDO-Pakistan will proivde in shape of free use of computers/internet of the SDO Resource Centre. However to scale up te project additional funds will be required
