In the border areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan, acute lack of any sports and recreational activities and facilities such as playgrounds and infrastructure for indoor sports has also increased the vulnerability of youth and adolescents. Through this project, organize establish and Up-grade library centres at “Youth Sport and Learning Centres” (construed by BRSP in Pak-Aghan border areas) with the support of Youth Lead Groups.

What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
Youth living across the borderline are very much exposed to social evils, drug additions and an easy target to becoming part of Jihadi groups and criminals. Pak-Aghan Youth Libraries is platform for the youth living in the border area and medium of social interaction, learning for the community.

Balochistan Rural Support Prorgram (BRSP) implementing a project named Improved well-being of vulnerable Youth and children through engagement in constructive and friendly activities in bordering areas of Pak-Aghan. Through this project BRSP construct two Youth Support and Learning Centers (YSLC), Youth Mobilization and Capacity building of youth group in different institution and youth development sector.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
Through this project 12,000 youths, members of youth group and refugees living in the two district of border area of Pakistan-Afghanistan (Nushki and Qilla Abdullah) will benefit from the library.
The library is operation with the support of Youth Lead Group in the target district and the group issues library membership cards to bear the financial expense of library center. BRSP organize a training event of group members on library management.
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
The library will manage and operate by the volunteer of Youth Lead Groups in both border area districts. A minor fee will collect from the library members to bear the expense and purchase new books for library in future.
Beside it, Youth Group generate fund through organize sport and cultural event at the platform of Youth Sport and Learning Centers.
