“Global Media Monitoring Project” address a very serious issue and shall record the first precedent in this regard. The aim of the project is to promote communication for social change through;
– Building the of Palestinian women’s rights activists in monitoring the representation of the Palestinian women in the local media.
– Supporting the Palestinian women to improve their representation in the local media .

- Collect data through the media monitoring search.
– Analyse the data
– Produce report about the results of the media monitoring search
– Design and implement an advocacy activity within the regions of the West Bank Areas. The action shall be designed based on the report findings

The Palestinian women suffer from lack of representation through the local media which is controlled and dominated by males. WFWR was not able to find any statistics related to the representation of women in the local media. Unfortunately, till this moment the policy makers and even women's representative groups did not realize the importance of collecting gender segregated statistical data relating the women's representation in the local media

Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
WFWR is a grass roots organisation beside the asking your funding we would be great full to generate the idea of our project since their is a lack of experts who can making taring in media monitoring , that will put us in contacts with experts in this filed , beside that this project is consider a pilot one WFWR intended to built on this project , and we already have another small grants for other expenses in the project from WACC (taking Sides)
