The children and adolescents of rural Afro-Peruvian communities suffer from a real foreclosure conditioned by its geographical location and its very economic poverty. The project will provide tools to enter the world press, through training programs in the use of communication in four children Palenques community. They publish the material produced in community public websites, so there is this entry to the world.

What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
The news will be related to citizen oversight in fulfilling rights, violence against children and the local culture this communicational space observatory will be to keep the public informed and report it, will promote citizenship in a democracy by recognizing and exercise of communication rights to contribute to the development of communities.

Our institution has been developing this project in the organization of Palenques Children with support from the Bernard Vand Lerd, District Municipalities and Morropon Zaña, Capote and Yapatera and schools districts involved in the project.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
Each Child Palenque community there are 30 participants, including children and teenagers making a total of 120 participants. Project sustainability is guaranteed by the children and adolescents of runaway children are part of the schools in the community.
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
We have other resources: Bernard Van Leer Foundation, for activities related to the organization of activities Palenques and awareness campaigns on the issue of violence against children, the support of the Municipalities and Educational Institutions in the infrastructure (local for the operation of Palenques).
