The Ambassadors of Change is mobilizing young people to raise awareness on people with disabilities towards a community that cares for all. The school will use as a strategic venue to start the all out campaign on removing all forms of barriers facing people with disabilities. Outcome of the activities will put in blog, disseminate in emails and social media for wider audiences.

Describe the specific community with whom you will be working.
Since early 1980 during the height of campaign on International Year of Disabled Persons until this rights-based era, people with disabilities in Northern Metro Manila Philippines are suffering from various social, economic, cultural and political barriers that impede their self-reliance and active participation in society. It was traced that one of the major contributing factors is the lack of awareness on disability.
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
1. e-journal of all winning entries in essay writing and poster making contests conducted including those who did not win per school
2. blog of outcome and impact to students of disability film caravan
3. face book, twitter and flickr accounts regarding views and opinions of students on disability matters are created
4. Ambassadors for Change Club organized per school
5. Tri-media featured Ambassador for Change activities
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?
Describe the connections that you or your organization have already established that will contribute to the success of the project.
We have six (6) community support group members in Northern Metro Manila. They will help to heighten the campaign. They will be the one to coordinate with schools for various activities related to the project. We will also maximize its partnership with the Department of Education to ensure active participation of schools.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
30 core leaders will join the training. A Network of Ambassadors of Change Club will form to maintain coordination, exchange of community of practices through social media and once in a while face to face meeting. Moreover existing community support group per barangay (village) will form into community support network per city. They will assist in the mobilization of community resources to provide continuous support for people with disabilities.
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
The Rising Voices is known for its expertise in the Information Communication Technology (ICT). They can continue assist in the upgrading of internet facilities of the project and other modes of ICT. They can also assist in the dissemination of information materials to create wider awareness on disability.
