A million Nepalis work as housemaids, construction workers and goat herders in the Middle East. These men and women suffer physical and psychological torture and abuse. No mechanism exists to help the migrant workers. With this project, I want to train 100 Nepali migrant workers in the region so that they can share their stories in social media (facebook, twitter, blogs and radios) to generate momentum to force respective governments to act.

I personally know a lot of Nepali migrant workers in Qatar and the surrounding countries in the region. Also, I have personal relationships with leading Nepali journalists working in the region on the same issue.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
I hope to train 100 migrant workers for the project. Moreover, these people live in close proximity and they have strong interpersonal relationships. I hope to be able to encourage and facilitate peer-to-peer learning so that more people create and contribute their contents and share their stories.
