The project shall involve taking digital photographs ,video and audio recording success stories and teaching AIDS orphans and their guardians on how to use social networks like face book, twitter and blogs. They shall then post the photos from their business premises and personal success stories online . Hence , other people can access the same and this will help to create awareness in the community thus propelling help to more AIDS orphans

Describe the specific community with whom you will be working.
The target community shall be AIDS orphans and their guardians whom we have been working with for the last 3 years under the project named support to families headed by AIDS orphans in Bagamoyo district, Tanzania. They are in a remote area, literacy level is 40% and about 95% of them have never accessed the internet. We have chosen AIDS orphans so that they may give hope to others with similar circumstances in their community.
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
At the end of the project period, AIDS orphans and their guardians shall be able to create and use blogs, electronic communication and use of social networks like face book, instagram, whatsapp and twitter. They will show their success stories both written, video and audio. In addition, they will take photos and upload them which will feature their economic activities they engage in.
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?

Our organization has worked in Bagamoyo District for 3 years, we have formed groups of women and orphans in 6 villages. This has been made possible by a well natured relationship with local leaders. We have given them socio economic training skills and they have income generating activities. Through the media, the orphans will encourage other orphans to engage in small IGAS, and guardians will encourage other community members to support orphans
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
We shall train 25 orphans and 120 women who take care of AIDS orphans that we have previously worked with. Through the women and children that we shall train, we will reach more than 10000 residents of Chalinze. We shall sustain their participation by close monitoring which will ensure that they actively participate in the blogs by uploading photos, success stories of their life and businesses thus encouraging others to care for AIDS orphans.

If Chalinze multimedia networking program, (MNP) project is selected for micro grant funding, we shall highly appreciate continuous support for the project through instant communication to ensure that the project shall be a success.
