This project focuses on using online media to promote leadership accountability to youth and children's development. The blog for interaction will be created with photos of local leaders (ward councilors, Members of Parliament, City Director and Regional Commissioner) on which youth and children can ask or inform them on issues regarding to their development.

Describe the specific community with whom you will be working.
The project will be working with youth and children living in Mwanza region whom are not easily getting a physical chance to meet and present their issues to their leaders. These youth and children include the normal and disabled ones who are underrepresented in different decision making bodies and their participation in online is invisible. We work with youth and children because they are large population (more than 60%) with a lot of challenges
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
The vision for the content is a community with Local Leaders who are accountable and solving youth and children challenges and ensuring sustainability of their development. The news stories that will be created are the ones about the actions taken by leaders in solving the challenges of youth and children and changes resulted by these actions. Stories on challenges and movements of youth and children will also be created.

Describe the connections that you or your organization have already established that will contribute to the success of the project.
MYCN is currently working closely with the government from ward to regional level in solving different challenges that facing youth and children. Working with the government will lead to greater support of leaders participation in the project for the development of youth and children. MYCN is also working with different Local and International organizations that are working in Mwanza region through which more youth and children can be obtained.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
A total of 152 people will be trained as follows; 42 youth and 42 children regarding gender balance from all 21 wards of Mwanza city; 27 local leaders and 21 Ward Executive officers; and 20 media houses (Radio, TV and newspapers) for featuring the conversation, actions and stories taken from the blog.
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
In terms of resources we need 10 Digital cameras, 5 tape recorders, 2 video cameras, 2 stands for video cameras, 1 projector and 1 projecting sheet. We also need technical support on strengthen our capacity on citizen journalism and resources mobilization from local sources.
