Violence against women and girls is the most widespread form of abuse worldwide, affecting one third of all women in their life time. Addressing violence against women and girls is a central development goal in its own right, and key to achieving other development outcomes. The project identifies tackling violence against women and girls as a priority and commits efforts to pilot new and innovative approaches prevent it using citizen media.

The videos, resource materials and training manuals, stories and experience of abused women and girls will be created aimed at bringing as many of those voices to a wider audience as possible in their clarity and unanimity. It also aims to draw attention to the disconnection between actions and intentions, experiences and perceptions, promote dialogue between married couple

Describe the connections that you or your organization have already established that will contribute to the success of the project.
We are already in touch with the women and girls groups, ministry of education, justice and home affairs departments, civil societies, human rights organizations, we are also in contact with most of the schools and institutions, local community leaders among others
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
200 Participants will be trained if resources are availed during the project implementation. Resources will be solicited from various well wishers government and private sector. There will be mobilization of women and girls, parents, local community leaders, law enforcement officers among others to be trained on how to listen observe and protect women rights
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
We really need a Van since our project involves moving to several schools and institutions and homes to talk to women and girls and their parents as we record their experience. We are requesting for funding for other projects we are implementing but because of limited funds we are unable to scale them to other.
