Bolivia: Digitizing the Besiro Language

The Besiro language is endangered and that is why we want to digitize the language through audio, photography, video to create records, data and supporting material for teaching in the education system. We will work in a community with 15 families, of which, 5 of them speak the language but who are elderly. We expect to be in social networks so that young people can use the Besiro language.

Nicaragua: My Voice, Your Voice, Our Voice in the Community

The project will work with young people from the community so that they can exchange experiences about their lives (organizations, health, education, community projects), so that they can become agents of change. We hope to create a Communications Resource Center where they will be provided with the tools that allow them to interact with other young people and develop communication skills and abilities.

Peru: Puyca Under the Lens

Hispaniola Youth Rise is a proposed project of Global Potential (GP) building on its current mission to empower youth and communities to energize each other through education, international service, cultural exchange, and the use of documentary and social media. Czech Republic: The European Anti-Corruption Centre ( EurACC.EU )

Our goal is to make micro videos visible on mobile phones and pad devices to train Czech community members how to use of citizen media tools for whistle blowing cases of suspected corruption and fraud in the Czech Republic. The European Anti-Corruption Centre ( EurACC.EU ), being built will have a special whistleblowing tool and the purpose of our microgrant applicaiton is to support making the training videos in Czech, English & Russian.

Honduras: Vozz Honduras

VOZZ is a citizen journalism election training project – it was implemented during Guatemala’s election in 2011 and El Salvador’s municipal election in 2012. Vozz will be launched in Honduras during its national elections in November 2013. The project’s goal is to teach electoral processes, reporting skills, the use of digital reporting tools, and self-publication on the Vozz HN website. We seek funding for two Training of Trainers “bootcamps”.
