Hungary: Youngsters Living with Disabilities Videoblogging Photoblogging

We would like to teach youngsters who live with disabilities how to use and edit social media by themselves.They would tell their life, their daily challenges, how they solve their daily problems. We would teach them how to photoblog, videoblog and would buy helmet cams which could be fixed on their wheelchair or on their head after that we teach them how to edit and upload. Those who can’t use the mouse would be helped by volenteer youngsters.

Bolivia: Telling the History in Our Own Words

In Bolivia, there are five largest organizations representing indigenous. Despite the rich history of these organizations in their struggle for inclusion in the public life, there are few documents that tell their story, neither is the voice of the people themselves and most have only parts and not the whole story. Therefore, we propose a workshop on free software to create documents and workshops using digital media for publication.

Poland: Jewrnalism Weekend Academy

I will build a network of 10 young Jewish citizen reporters from Poland that will be invited for 4 day seminar( August 2013.) where they will learn how to record audio, video messages. After next 9 months were each member each month has created one media piece, 2 best reporters will be chosen for a 1month internship to JN1TV .All members will become part of Jewrnalism.org and will be able to publish for our and our partners websites.

Pakistan: The Minority's Voice

Our goal is to work in collaboration with The Garage School, an NGO engaged in educating the under-privileged children from a slum area located in Clifton, Karachi. Most of these children and their families belong to various religious minority groups. We wish to educate these children and their mothers in various social networking tools to spread their stories and problems on a larger platform through a series of workshops.

Amantani is an island located on Lake Titicaca in Puno, where its residents take part in rural community tourism. However, travel agencies are the ones the most benefit from this activity by being an intermediary with the travelers. That is why we hope to have the population become active on the internet (blogs and social media) so that they can offer this touristic service directly.

Multimedia material of Bolivia within Wikimedia Commons are few. There are no images, audios or videos of historical places or towns and cities. In Bolivia, there are several groups of people interested in multimedia who share their work through social media, but these photos are not shared under a free license. The most frequent reason is that they do not know how to use these type of licenses. We will show them how to do this.

Brazil: Favela a Mil – Community Exchanges through Video

This project will multiply the effects of two years of work by the MDDF (Movement in Defense of Slum Dwellers’ Rights) to produce a documentary about the history of the movement through interviews with its leaders (to May 2013). This new project will offer video workshops and open-air movie nights showing the workshop videos and the documentary in 10 slum areas, mobilizing youth and presenting their voices alongside those of the older generation.

Mexico: Online Communication Skills for NGOs

The valuable work of mexican NGO's is ignored by the on line media, we want to teach them how to use these tools to communicate their efforts and social impact, to create networks within the young citizens and motivate them to support their work. NGO's will be the authors of their narratives on a daily basis as a way to measure their resonance and visibility in modern society.

Peru: My Community Voices

The project will train Youth and Adults in digital content production of their own culture and as rural reporters. Within three days of training in Puno and continuous support through Internet, telephone and AM Radio for the production of documents, Audio and Video. It is intended that rural communities will be represented on the Internet, in their own language, while transmitting announcements and news between communities.
