Pakistan: Digital Green-up

A nature club will be formed in 5 schools. They will be trained for green photography and using computers in “SDO Resource Centre” for copying, sharing, printing photos. They will make plantation of 1000 plants in SWAT area (taking support from the forest department) and all this interesting activity will be digitally captured using mobile phone and digital cameras. Competion winner will have some reward in cash/trophy etc.

Bosnia Herzegovina: Make your Work Seen and Connected

The project refers to the middle-aged persons who are computer illiterate, and deal with some creative hobby who want to turn in a profit and presented it to the local community. During the project, they will learn how to promote themselves online, share pictures and work together. Course of the new technologies will be held in the Internet room of the public library. Project participants will have access to the Internet every day for the project

Brazil: Theatre that Sensitizes, Media that Gives Voice

During 05 months will be held 03 theater’s workshops with workshops of photo and video to sensitize about 45 young residents of the neighborhood Cidade Tiradentes, to record and disseminate their reality and post on the blog of the Núcleo Teatral Filhos da Dita (filhosdadita.wordpress.com), public utility information with the young’s poetic and sensitivity and criticality of the theater, contributing to the promotion of youth leadership.

Afghanistan: Kabul Beat

Kabul Beat is a online magazine in two national languages of Afghanistan Dari & Pashto & English, that aims to share stories from different and undermined provinces of Afghanistan. Kabul Beat will teach 7-10 aspiring bloggers and writers from different provinces of Afghanistan who wish to write but due to financial problems and lack of access to internet can't present their writings to worldwide audience.

Argentina: Rural Families Linked to a Radio-electronic net

Radio Cooperativa Tinku is non-formal. It has an antenna with a radius of 60 km from Mina Clavero, Córdoba. We will install 4 antennas networked with the central radio antenna. Each one will connect to a PC and a console. Mobile equipment and stations (3) will provide community service. This local identity is without representation and falls promoting their craft. RTC will provide e-courses to develop communication skills.

Uganda: Raising the Voiceless Through IT/Media

The project entitled “Raising the voiceless through IT/Media” will tackle issues related to commercial sex exploitation affecting communities in Northern Ugandan, and it will target two Luo tribes that is; the Langi and the Acholi focusing mainly on children. The Langi and Acholi children in Northern Uganda.Groups of children will be trained from the local communities, and they will be trained to use IT/Media to share their stories.

Mexico: Achileos, Moros y Cristianos

The project is a documentary collection of religious festivals and outs of the localities of the municipality of San Martin of the Pyramids, through the use of citizen media such as videos, pictures, blogs, social networks, among others, this will be done by girls and poor children who have no access to ICT for rescue and cultural value of their traditions.

Egypt: Films Against All Odds

In the past few months, the degree of violence in Egypt has increased. There have been lots of cases of abduction, rape, torture and murder. Poorer neighborhoods are most subject to violence & least covered in media. A series of workshops by Filmmakers with help of activists can give a specific group the chance to self monitor human rights violations by equipping them to create Video & Audio projects to tell their stories and share it.

Bolivia: Jovenes de Uspha-Uspha

The project aims to establish an online network of the community Uspha-Uspha. Initially it will be used to promote activities led by youths from the community within the sports and arts program of Proyecto Horizonte. In time we aim to establish a digital photo/video and story-telling forum where the community can share information about upcoming and past activities, the life in Uspha-Uspha and to connect with other communities worldwide.

Philippines: Feeding Online the Songs and Tales on Environment and Rights

FOSTER will help propagate songs and tales on environmental challenges in Mindanao and on how people cope and respond to them. Initially, it will create a “music album” of original songs produced in a prior CEC songwriting workshop. We will hold a workshop with local artists and environmental advocates to polish the songs for recording, and on audio-video recording & editing, creating their own online video channel, and uploading videos to them.
