Kenya: Community Media for Renewable Energy

This project intends to train a community within the rift alley region of kenya,Tugen community living on bogoria.they will be trained on the use of online platforms to share stories on renewable energy. They work closely with a cbo Dyingo which champions the use of renewable energy within the region.The cbo gives them skill and knowledge on solar energy . The online platform will help them share stories of success on renewable energy.

Kenya: Rising Voices for Taita

The project aims to train 15 community members on capturing local environmental cultural practices and how to feed the outputs back to the community via blog posts, online videos, photos, news articles with the objective of empowering local communities. This intends to give voice to Taita community culture and bring them on the know about their eroding behavior patterns and perceptions that favour environmental conservation.

Mexico: All Together Against Climate Change

An Environmental Education program against climate change is running at schools in a city where the temperature through the year is too high. Students want to share their experience to the community and with others schools to be able to invite them to work against climate change and interchange innovative ideas through a blog, photographies and video.

Mexico: Environmental Video-journalism Workshop

The aim is to create a network of digital video producers that develop stories of the environment and, preferably incorporating elements of ancient Mayan culture. The intention is to train 15 young people in the use of these technologies and build a visual memory of our environment, use, protection and services. The results will be micro-video stories that are disseminated through web supported by our networks and alliances.

Lebanon: Almidan Media Outreach Project

Almidan NGO in Lebanon is planning to be part of the global digital world and use the social media as a tool of conversation with the community and members. Almidan is willing to find and invite other NGOs or civil societies who share the same ideas and objectives. Therefore, Almidan’s project will create a group blog, a digital photography group and a mobile phone application to have a continuous connection among members and invitees.

Nepal: Social Media vs. Environmental Awareness

This project is designed to train rural youth about Social Media & Networking. Participants from different regions of Nepal will have opportunities to share their experiences and knowledge about environmental issues via social media. Blog competition among the trainee will encourage rural youth to use the online platform, the best blog will be selected as the project blog which will be equipped with the information shared by rural & urban youth.
