This project is to create a local network of photographers to digital photos and video for an exhibition of photos and video on Flickr online environment and human rights. To get there, walking editing photos and videos will be regularly organized in different parts of the city and its surrounding villages.

Sierra Leone: PeaceItOut

PeaceItOut (Peace It Out) is a project by the Young Peace Builders in Sierra Leone that is aimed at creating an online and offline interactive forum for youth in Sierra Leone and abroad to share their concerns on issues affecting them and their communities, and further exchange ideas for partnership & collaboration with other youth groups and individuals in different part of the Country and beyond.

DR Congo: Network Support for Local Bloggers

This project is to create a local support network for bloggers with two operating mechanisms: the creation of a training camp media and citizens to use twitter with a mission to identify, train members of village groups, supervise, manage and publish relevant information on the web to join the international community as well as an online one village group with the primary role of establishing a source of important information.

I am proposing to train young people on how to make personal blogs a n websites that they can use to tel their own stories.Nakuru is a central business hub in East Africa and has recently opened a Library that has internet at very low costs.This is a facility that i want to attract young people to.I have a group of young talented artists who use storytelling as a communication and education tool .Some of these stories will be put in our blog.

Uganda: Abakyala Tweyogerer – The Single Mothers’ Voice

The project will teach single mothers how to use citizen media to document and share their personal family stories, and create a Facebook and twitter page where they will be shared online. Trainings will focus on using digital photography and social networks to share experiences and challenges faced by single mothers in Uganda. Stories and photos will be collected monthly through focus group discussions and posted on Facebook and twitter

Uganda: The Digital Science Journalist

The project proposes training of a rural community of Malinyi in Tanzania how to use internet for communication. The area has possibility of accessing internet through mobile network, but the population lacks knowledge. The idea will be realised through trainings. The target groups will secondary school students and employees. The project aims at making population of Malinyi access the on-line forums for presenting their views on various issues.
