Malawi: Community Radio for Accountability and Transparency

Decentralized local governance in Malawi has not succeeded in enhancing transparency and accountability. This is, in part, due to passiveness of community. This project aims to use Community Radio as a platform to excite the local people into action. To support the issue-based radio programming will be Citizen Journalists who will make follow-ups on development projects and report on the same through the Community Radio regularly.

Poland: Now it's your Turn – Everyone has a Voice!

The project is the inclusion of the urban community to the wider city driving – Citizen participation. People have to have a place where divulge their grievances to the authorities, ideas for improvements, questions to the government. If this option does not give us the direct authority – let's do it ourselves. Blogging platform, in which every citizen will be able to comment on issues related to the functioning of the city.

Uganda: Ghalálá Online

During the colonial rule Busoga kingdom used to get orders from Buganda kingdom and due to language barrier they could make mistakes during execution of the orders, after the mistakes the Basoga people were continuously abused and they were psychologically tortured which resulted into inferiority complex and the Basoga abandoned their language and resorted to Luganda and English.

Nigeria: Using Media for Community Development

Media for community development is a project that intends to attract development to the marginalized communities of Mpape and Gurku, by empowering the communities to share their plights, stories and history online between and among other networks and the general online community. These communities lack infrastructure and are in inhumane condition. The project intends to train selected women and youths social networking, blogging & internet.

The project is aimed at facilitating the creation of the Crimean socially oriented media content with focus on issues that affect the daily life of the Crimean population. The project will promote the thesis that ordinary people can be journalists for their communities. Madagascar: Legal Advisory in Live Broadcast

Each issue includes a short oral presentation on a specific topic. Then, the floor is given to listeners through phone calls.
