The project aims at training community media personnel to run an indigenous community blog that will provide updated news about all the development programs and events that take place within Namayina community. The project will empower the media personnel with communication and news reporting skills, use of internet and website blog uploading and pave a way to reach a larger community and share news and experiences in community development.

What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
The project will create news about the poor environment management and agricultural practices, the rural learning conditions for children, health and sanitation, land evacuations by landlords, human sacrifices and all issues that retard development in the community and the projects implemented and the development impact achieved. They will cover youth involvement in social and economic activities to be documented and shared with youths globally.

We are connected to yahoo electronic mailing network. We have designed Namayina.4t.com website but needs improving, updating and an administrator when we train the media personnel from our community so that we can publish updated information for rest of the people to know our toils, our needs and achievements by sharing knowledge and experiences with them. We are connected to Orange Everywhere Internet Network.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
We are desirous of training 42 participants from the 7 villages which make up Namayina Rural Development Project area by each village presenting 6 trainees. When they are trained and accessed to the appropriate media technology and digital videos they will work together to bring our communities to the global scene and get exposed to new ideas to develop the marginalized indigenous communities. Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
We want to get hosted on to the website network, and organization internet communication, computers, digital cameras/videos, access to grant makers to support our development programs, and mobile phones for communication and news reporting. We want to train more members in Namayina community to learn income-generating skills, effective use of ICT to promote knowledge and skills to foster wealth creation and initiate self-sustaining projects.
