We plan to work with students and school students who will prepare the materials. They will be trained before starting to write materials. We plan to work with our partner organization “House of Journalist” and its journalists such as Saikal Attokurova, Guljamal Asankadurova, Begimai Abdrahmanova. Aslo my co-workers Galia Khurova and Azamat Aitbaev will be also offering their assistance. They all have Facebook accounts.
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
Each day in Kyrgyzstan thousands of people leave to Russia or other countries in search of good job. They all leave Kyrgyzstan trying to earn and save money. Thus trying to contend their lives. In this group people at the age of 20-30 are the most predominant. Most of them just graduate college, some are married and have 1-2 children.
There are some successful migrants. However most of the migrants live their lives in awful conditions. There are cases when migrants die or injured while working. The project will talk about young migrants’ lives, their experience aboard and their current situation in their homeland. At the same time the materials will talk about the life of families who have migrant relative.

10 young students of the local State University will take part in the training. They will be selected on a special competition. They need to write a short statement on a certain topic. A special panel of juges will be established. They will select the best works. Selected students will be trained and provided with access to internet and all necessary tools.
There are unlimited numbers of internet users can reach the page and read stories of migrants.

What is your current relationship with the community with whom you plan to work? What makes you the most appropriate individual or organization to implement this project?
I was born in this city and I can feel the changes. I would like my community to be prosperious. I wish people living in my town were successful and have only good news. As a journalist in the past I have seen so many people who need to speak out. Migrants are one of the vulnarable groups. I would like to rise thier voices so that others were able to get some lessons for thier own lives.
What specific challenges do you expect to face when planning and implementing your project?
One of the main risks is that some students may get passive or lose their motivation while working as a journalist. However, I have worked with young people who would like to become journalists for more than 4 years and I know how to cope in this kind of situations.
How will you measure and evaluate the project’s impact, specifically: your primary participants, the wider regional community, or the global digital community?
The success of the project will be measured by the active visits of the Facebook page. The comments, likes will show whether a certain story is interesting to the audience or not. Active interaction of internet users will be a significant achievement.
