Community Community Radio Soap is three months Radio Drama campaigned on citizen participation in decision making in the areas of election, community development and economical activities. The story in this production focus of election and how best the election can meet the needs of the citizens, local community. The programme will be implemented through development and production of a weekly radio drama which will be aired on a local-community radio and listeners will participate through phone calls and text messages. The production team will conduct continuous research and field Interaction.

The project will be designed, development and implementation in close collaboration with the local community within the partnership range of the radio station that we will use. The community will participate right from inception stage-research contribution, data and communication needs will be sourced from the listeners. the team will also work with community in selecting contents for the programme and the feedback generated during broadcast will guide the progress of the project and for review and evaluation purposes

What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
The project is aimed an informing and empowering the citizens in making informed and consistent decision election. It give the listeners a vivid picture of the entire electoral process, and the impact of choosing a right leader who are pro-citizens and also the impact of choosing a wrong leader who is self centred.
This Pre-Election Voter Awareness Campaigns are aimed at making people aware of: the importance of their participation in electoral processes either as voters or candidates; different modes of participation; the procedure to become eligible for voting and to actually cast their vote; and ways to assess the poll-worthiness of a candidate.

We have create a wide range of partnership and connection for this project. We already in touch operating with from Radio Wa 89.8 FM(www.radiowa.org) a community radio based in Lira where the programme will be aired on a weekly basis and one hour is already allocated for the broadcast.
We are a member of Lira NGO Forum, a co-ordinating unit for citizen election Campaign where we shall get technical resources.
Besides the normal sms service that the listeners can afford form different communication service providers, we are in touch with a sms platform Trac FM(https://www.tracfm.org/) to make an arrangement for free sms service for feedback.

the project will train 30 participants.
the thirty include 4 production crew who are already in the team included above working with us at Theatre Technology House(https://www.facebook.com/tthcraft)

we have sourced and trained from the community around us.

What is your current relationship with the community with whom you plan to work? What makes you the most appropriate individual or organization to implement this project?
For the last three years, we have been doing this type of production voluntarily and working with the community in achieving this. the community have been our source of information on content, objective and priority. this has maintained a strong bond between us and the community.
Secondly, the expertise we have been giving other community programmes stands out. We have an established team who have been giving their time to community work and the experience and training makes us the most appropriate organisation to implement this.
What specific challenges do you expect to face when planning and implementing your project?
Duplication – however our approaches will take care of this as we will try to be as objective as possible.
Call for more. we are commited to carry on once triggered as the community will need more and more. experience has shown us this.
How will you measure and evaluate the project’s impact, specifically: your primary participants, the wider regional community, or the global digital community?
The project will be measured and evaluated through the feedback that we will be getting and we will along side the programme run opinion polls aimed at checking the level of understanding, response and feedback to the programme.
