Voices United will provide a workshop and performing arts exhibition
The Voices United Experience is an uplifting and transformational workshop that engaged students in a creative process, culminating in their own original artistic pieces about HIV/AIDS and other issues that are important to global youth. The students participated in trust and team building exercises, as well as youth-directed issue discussions exploring the challenges in their daily lives. Working from the topics discussed, and experiences shared, the students and the Voices United team used poetry, theater, dance, visual art, and music to create and build an original piece that spoke on behalf of the entire group.

How many participants do you think will be trained in your project?
100 young people of the inhabitant of Nema Kunku and will expand to reach 1000 young people around the globe
Participatory exciting, engaging training methods such as visual & computer training methods and sharing experiences globally,will be used to ensure sustenance

Voices United’s communication strategies are youth centric, thus, promote and encourage open communication flow in all aspects of life, therefore, One Voice, One Feel, One Look approach, leads to holistic approach hence message consistency being the best tool to save the children and the world
Describe the facilities where you will hold the workshops.
I will coordinate the workshop at berlin FC Youth Association computer Center for up 20 participant ,tables and seats for the above and power connection. The project will have 20 computers and USB modems; we plan to obtain 20 modems from Orange provider. Approximate internet connection speed will be 21 Mbps
What is your current relationship with the community with whom you plan to work? What makes you the most appropriate individual or organization to implement this project?
As CEO,Founder of the Berlin FC Youth Association the Gambia and a coordinator for global youth service day and partner with voice united i am responsible for engaging more than 100 youth in community service and service learning project in the Gambia.
What specific challenges do you expect to face when planning and implementing your project?
Low illiteracy and low conceptual understanding of computer in young people and also lack of access to computer ,Internet and education tools.
Young people are the target group and it has impact on their life.
How will you measure and evaluate the project’s impact, specifically: your primary participants, the wider regional community, or the global digital community?
The 5th World Youth Congress is a major youth gathering that champions student-led development and promotes the role of young people in global affairs. Consisting of seminars, skills workshops and cultural events, the World Youth Congress provided a cornucopia of enrichment to 1,400 students from over 100 countries. VU participants facilitated a three-hour workshop, Arts for Change, which culminated in four inspiring mini performances created by youth from around the world,
If your project were to be selected as a Rising Voices grantee, what would be the general timeline of project activities in 2014?
Global Ties is a new and innovative program designed to strengthen the Ties between communities all over the world. Global Ties launches an expansive and flexible creative dialogue between young artists, arts companies and youth leaders worldwide.The Global Ties process will include the collection of stories from all over the world in addition to the stories of our cast gathered using the Voices United Process. These stories will reflect the real life experiences and challenges of our young people across the globe. Global Ties will use Voices United’s, Young Leaders Unite (YLU) social network as a worldwide creative forum and workspace for the young artist and leaders as well as a platform for the submission of their stories. Created by a collection of talented local musicians, actors, visual artists, dancers,and poets, from a variety of communities and experiences, Global Ties is an innovative and imaginative creation uniting our world through art.
