Single teenage mothers suffer stigmatisation and discrimination daily in their lives from family through the community. This has led to many of them being infected through continuous sexual abuse, rape and assaults. In some cases femicide has been committed against them. In a nutshell, we want to restore these victims as survivors in communities and empower them through vocational or professional trainings that would build their skills and offer them with sustainable means of livelihood through access to support for micro business incentives. Also, enable them to care for their children.

Single Teenage Mothers, Rural and Urban Poor Women and destitute youths. These segment are lagged in many areas of development including inadequate knowledge in ICT and internet surfing. The project seek to create a social media like post blog, facebook, so that their plights and needs can be shared and awareness raised to combat these stigmas and discrimination against them. These have been socially excluded from decision making that affect their own lives. Hence, this will enable resurrecting voices and give them a platform to share, learn and be informed of opportunity that can leapfrog their life.
Finally, this we collect comments and possible replication processes to address their handicap and lack of resources as a major limiting factor,and socioeconomic determinants and cultural.

During 2014, project we envisage to train

Online blogging and internet surfing, and the use of ITC in general as would be handled by some of the partners.

In partnership with Tk Foundation we will use TK Foundation Computer lab and internet lab of 40 computers wireless internet terminals.
The speed ADSL from camtel. TK has technicians who are verse with all technical details and webpage designers that would be facilitating the trainings
What is your current relationship with the community with whom you plan to work? What makes you the most appropriate individual or organization to implement this project?
Since creation we have worked very closely with this target group. We have established irrefutable evidence among our community of intervention. We have a long term plan of ending gender violence, HIV/AIDS/STIs Transmission and prevention, early marriage through community Based partnership with this specific community
What specific challenges do you expect to face when planning and implementing your project?
Our trainings might conflict with our partners programme of trainings and also they may be conflict of interest, hence these have been resolved through consensus.
How will you measure and evaluate the project’s impact, specifically: your primary participants, the wider regional community, or the global digital community?
The number of planned beneficiaries to benefit. If they are actually trained as planned. The percentage of the trained benficiaries using ICT including internet correctly. The number of people participating on the online platform, number of signtaures endorsing the online discussion through twitter and other social media networks.
If your project were to be selected as a Rising Voices grantee, what would be the general timeline of project activities in 2014?
The estimated timeframe is 6months/ 5th May to 5th November 2014
Activities includeVoice of Grace Foundation Cameroon will mobilise collective voices and concerted efforts for advocacy through sensitisation, information dissemination and awareness raising on this very sensitive issues within the ten regions and international organs through the initiation of dialogue and discussion on social media and a three day consultative workshop that will gather actors all over the ten regions of Cameroon. The consultative workshop will consist of four sessions:
Session I: discusses the current sexual reproductive health situation in Cameroon, as well as consequences of inaction and the challenges government faces in attempt to address the problem.
Session II: discusses some best practices of Sexual Reproductive Health in Cameroon , innovative approaches and programs put in place by the government to address the problem of SRH that can be upgraded and other related issues for advocacy

One of the major problems of single mothers is taking care of their children single handed. Building into the project income generating ideas and aspects of good child upbringing would be a good idea.
