University College for Applied Sciences (UCAS), as a leading institution in the field of applied and technical education in Gaza strip has an educational program called “Communication and Media Technology”. This project aims at improving and developing efficient media practitioners in Gaza for the best of a clear, understandable and professional media work that is capable of raising awareness of international audiences about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict from a Palestinian perspective. by high quality trainings, workshops, and resources to local media professionals. for 12 months duration

What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
a forum for media practitioners :
This forum aims at bringing together media experts, professionals and practitioners. It would provide a platform for media practitioners to discuss different issues related to their profession, local predicaments, and the role of media in development. Journalists, including distinguished media professionals, columnists, editors in chief, and reporters from across the West Bank and Gaza Strip can participate in the forum. The potential participants are from a wide range of Palestinian media outlets; private and state-owned, in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. The forum will contribute diffusing the importance of media freedom and call for reform of policies and laws to empower media and journalists as well.

UCAS would like to dedicate a considerable effort in cooperation with its international and local partners to implement this project in Gaza Strip.
